Parcours

JITENDRIYA SWAIN received his PhD from IIT Madras, India under the guidance of Prof. A. K Mishra. His doctoral research was focused on membrane biophysics and drug delivery systems. He received a best thesis award for his PhD work. After completing his PhD, he joined University catholique de Louvain, Belgium as a post-doctoral fellow under Prof. Marie-Paule Mingeot-Leclercq, where his research is focused on developing membrane active antibacterial agent for pathogenic bacteria and understanding its mechanism of action. Recently, he joined IRIM,  Institute de Recherche en Infectiologie de Montpellier, France as a post-doctoral fellow under Dr. Delphine Muriaux, where his research work focused on application of high-resolution microscopy to study viral assembly (HIV, Influenza, SARS-CoV-2) and membrane domains.
