Bohbot Alexandre
Post
Study engineer
Biosketch
After completing a double degree in biology and chemistry (Université Paris-Saclay), Alexandre specialized in microbiology and cell biology with a Master 1 (M1) at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. In 2025, he earned a Master’s degree in Fundamental Microbiology and a postgraduate degree (Magistère) in Biology from Université Paris-Saclay.
During his Master’s program, he completed an internship at the I2BC (Institute for Biotechnology and Biotechnology) on the destabilization of endothelial cell junctions induced by factors secreted by pneumococcus during its passage across the blood-brain barrier. This involved collaboration with the Pasteur Institute and the Paris-Saclay Synchrotron to analyze the insertion capacities of secreted factors into membranes.
In February 2026, he joined the MDV team at IRIM (Institute for Research in Microbiology and Microbiology) as a research engineer investigating the mechanisms of hepatitis B virus entry into hepatocytes.
