After a BTS in biological analyses (Lycée Marie Curie, Marseille), Véronique obtained a pHD in immunology under the supervision of Christian Devaux. During her pHD, she studied the antigenic epitopes of HIV-1 p17 and p24 gag proteins. During her pHD, she moved to Montpellier where Christian Devaux set up an HIV research team within the CRBM, and obtained a TCN position at INSERM. After several years, she was recruited at the CNRS as a study engineer, then she obtained a research engineer position in 2010. For several years, she has been working on autophagy induced during HIV-1 infection of CD4+ T lymphocytes. Following the SARS-CoV2 outbreak, her work has focused on new research projects related to the autophagy interactions with this virus.

Since 2008, she is a “prevention assistant” at IRIM. She is also responsible of the “technico-scientific service” of IRIM since January 2019, and she represents the institute on the “Campus Life” committee, and participates in the working group for a greener research at IRIM.
