Call for the recruitment of young /senior group leaders at the CPBS institute
The CPBS institute, a research center supported by the CNRS and Montpellier University, is dedicated to outstanding academic research in the fields of Bacteriology, Virology, and Immunology, using a combination of interdisciplinary approaches including Biophysics.
The CPBS is located on the CNRS campus that includes two other institutes, CRBM and IGMM. All together, the three institutes, which host around 450 researchers and staff members, constitute an exceptional intellectual and technological environment. The CPBS researchers have access to all the experimental facilities required for cutting-edge research. These include BSL2- and BSL3-laboratories, animal facilities (for transgenesis, homologous recombination and small animal imaging), state-of-the-art cell imaging and microscopy, cytometry and cell sorting, genomics, and proteomics platforms.
The CPBS is seeking applications from outstanding scientists highly motivated to establish their own innovative research program in the field of host-pathogen interactions. The candidates should meet all the criteria to obtain competitive national and international funding, and for French institutional research tenure positions (CNRS or INSERM). Innovative and interdisciplinary projects in Virology, Bacteriology, Cellular Immunity, Immunology, and structure-function relationships, are welcome. The offer includes substantial laboratory and office space in a brand new building, as well as access to onsite facilities and equipment. Application for funding and tenure positions will be strongly encouraged and supported.
Applications should include a CV (including the names and contacts of three referees and a list of publications), a short description of achievements and records of previous and ongoing funding (when applicable), as well as the proposed research program.
Applications should be sent to:
