Vincent obtained his master in molecular biology in UPJS Kosice, Slovakia. He was working on the detection of HCV in the blood of donors. He continued at the Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic, where he defended his PhD thesis focused on the DNA vaccination against CML. In parallel, he was employed as a research fellow at The Department of Experimental Virology, IHBT, Prague, where, besides his work on PhD. thesis, he was involved in several virological projects aimed on HPV. Later on, he gained a post doc position in the lab of Nobel laureate Prof. zur Hausen, at DKFZ, Heidelberg, Germany. He was involved in searching for potential agents of viral origin involved in colon cancer development, as well as TTV research. Later, he joined a group of Raphael Gaudin, at INSERM, Strasbourg, France. His main task as a research engineer was the development of CRISPR/Cas9 based tools for HBV imaging in live cells and in real time. However, he participated also on ZIKA or HCV projects. His current position is in a Biomedical center in Martin, JFM CU, Slovakia where he is developing models for investigation of CRC resistance to treatment based on its mutation status. Through the generosity of the French embassy in Slovakia, Vincent was able to re-join group of Raphael Gaudin at IRIM, Montpellier. During his 3 months long internship he will be involved in several projects focusing mainly on the preparation of various DNA constructs.
