Biosketch
Maïka Deffieu did her PhD at Bordeaux on mitophagy in yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. She then moved to Stanford (California) to study cholesterol trafficking and its export from endosomes. Back to France she worked at the Pasteur Institute at Lille, where she studied the hijacking of the host Golgi apparatus by the intracellular parasite Toxoplasma gondii. She joined Raphael Gaudin’s team to study the dynamic of entry of hepatitis B virus and its intracellular trafficking using different microscopy technics.
